Land Rover Releases Freelander 2 Sport
New 2010 Landrover Freelander 2 Sport has been released for the UK crowd. This a very tricked out version of L2 that gets a Santorini Black or Lago Grey paint job color-keyed exterior trim, a rear spoiler, and 19-inch diamond-turned alloy wheels.
Inside is where the fun begins, with a two-tone interior, and your choice of cloth interior or a “sports styling pack” in Lago Grey leather. Interestingly that this Sport model comes with a 2.2-liter diesel four that puts the power to the wheels through a manual transmission, and it gets even better gas mileage with an addition of stop/start technology.
The model goes on sale next month and starts at £26,695 ($43,581 USD), but this is based on the UK market prices which are much higher than the U.S. There is no word yet on whether US consumers will get a this model in the LR2 form that we are used to. Hyundai Releases Price for 2010 Tucson Crossover
After the unveiling of the latest Hyndai Tuscon crossover last week at the LA Auto Show, Hyndai officially release all the details and the starting price of $18,995.
In the beginning of launch, the Tucson will only available with the 2.4-liter four-cylinder, and a 2.0-liter version will will join the lineup later in the year. The 2.4L version will be available with either manual or automatic six-speed transmissions.
The base price motioned above will put you in a GLS model with manual transmission and FWD (front wheel-drive) but you can also bet it with an optional all wheel-drive. The next up on the list will be Limited plus with an available premium package that includes a navigation system, sunroof, and other options for an additional $2,850. A completely tricked out all-wheel drive, automatic Limited with the premium pack will set you back $28,695 (plus $795 delivery charge). First batches of 2010 Tucsons are being built as we speak and will be on their way to the dealerships very soon. Check out the official press release below.
NEW 2011 KIA SORENTO ENTERS CUV
Kia has finally unveiled their all new 2011 Sorento. Some of the advantages tot he current model is that it will be about 4 inches longer and 3 inches wider. Due to the new body structure, they were able to put in a third row seat, although because of the space limits, it will probably be only usable by small children.
The new Sorento will offer a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that is rated at 172 horsepower, in addition to the 3.5-liter V6, 273 hp engine. I am sure that the firs official unveiling of new Sorento will take place at the Los Angeles or Detroit Auto Show in December. Please stay tuned.

Volvo Introducess a Less Expensive Normally Aspirated XC60 3.2
Volvo has introduced a new less expensive 3.2-liter alternative to to the turbocharged 3.0-liter T6 model the 2010 XC60. The pricing starts at $32,395 for the front-wheel drive model and $34,395 for the AWD version. The inline six produces 235 hp and 236 lb-ft and is combined with a six-speed automatic transmission. Volvo’s fuel economy claim is 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
Nissan is Recalling 362,891 2003-2007 Murano Vehicles
Nissan has announced that they will be recalling 362,891 2003-2007 Murano Vehicles.
The problem is the Intake Air Ducts which are connected to the intermediate resonator in the intake system of he engine. It may separate from the resonator with the excessive engine movement.
This failure is due to the premature aging of the materials used in the making of the Intake Air Duct which causes the excessive material shrinkage during heat and cold cycles.
As a result, engine may stall during city or highway driving which can increase the risks of a crash. Nissan will inspect the part and all the appropriate components and will replace everything that is necessary free of charge.
