Lamborghini Hybrid Coming in 2015 With Either AWD or RWD

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has confirmed that the company is working on a hybrid version of Lamborghini Gallardo.  This was only a matter of time since every car manufacturer is jumping on the electric band wagon.  This electric super car is expected to hit the market in 2015, the same exact year as Ferrari will be releasing their fuel saving version.

But do not wary you super car lovers, Lamborghini is not planning to replace gasoline power plant completely.  The plan is to have a small electric motor that would propel the cat at low speeds, after which either the so much loved V10 or V12 engine would take over and let the fun begin.

We will all be eagerly awaiting more details on this future car.

Pagani Zonda Like No Other

As people say, you can’t all ways have what you want, or can you?  Well when it comes to a gentleman by the name Peter Saywell this phrase has no meaning.  He wanted to get his hands on the latest limited-edition Zonda Cinque, but he was a little late to the party and all five were sold out.  No problem, since the money is no object when you are considering buying a car like Zonda, he commissioned the factory in Modena to create the special one for himself!.  Its nice to have money like that lying around don’t you think?

Special paint job and some other modifications have been done to his one of a kind cars.  His Zonda PS reportedly has 650 hp powered by V12 Mercedes AMG engine, putting the power through a sequential transmission developed specifically for the Zonda.  This special edition Zonda will be worth even more than other versions of the Pagani super-cars.

There is not a lot of information out yet, but Swedish television is reportedly claiming that Koenigsegg an exotic high performance automaker have signed a letter of intent to take over a GM brand Saab.  More information and final negotiations will reportedly take place in the coming months.

Saab Automobile, which was put up for sale by its now bankrupt U.S parent earlier this year, had been in talks with two or three bidders in the past weeks.  Saab has mentioned that a deal could be done by the end of June, early July.

This could be very interesting and exciting at the same time!  CCX-R Saab anyone?

GTA Spano First Drive

Those Australians are some lucky guys to be the first ones to drive the first prototype GTA Spano.

The car is powered by an 8.3-litre V10 engine, similar to Dodge Viper, and produces 768HP and 679lbf/ft.

GTA Spano is a mid-engine car built in Spain by GTA Motor in Valencia.

The car is propelled 0-100km/h in less than three seconds and has a top speed of more than 350km/h.

The exterior of the car looks beautiful and muscular.  The lines have a perfect flow to them.  The interior leaves us a little more to desire, but its up to you to decide weather you like it or not.

Audi R8 – PPI Razor GTR

German tuner PPI Automotive has unveiled their new Audi R8-based PPI Razor GTR at Top Marques Monaco 2009.

That maximum horsepower of 580hp comes from the engine at 7400 rpm, while torque maxes out at a level of 600 Nm, from 6200 rpm.  Weight of the PPI Razor GTR is 1580 kg, a full 250 kg lighter than the PPI R8, and 40 kg lighter than the Audi R8 V10.  These modifications get the car from standstill to 100 km/h (62 m/hr) in 3.7 seconds, and top speed of 332 km/h (206 m/hr).  All of these changes came from racing, wind tunnel development, road testing, and track testing.

The car features a custom supercharger, stainless steel high performance exhaust and ram-charged air filter system.  Company used carbon fiber to achieve weight reduction, including the new front bumper and diffuser.  Bigger air intakes can be seen at the front air dam, which also directs air to cool the brakes.  Custom side skirts, and rear adjustable wing complete the new look.

The wheels are PPI MAG9, Carbon Fiber aluminum wheels (19in front and 20 in rear), that are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires.  The brakes are six-piston calipers, which help to bring the car to a dead stop.  New coils have also been designed for this car, and PPI even installed a hydraulic lift system, which allows the car to be ether extremely low or to be raised by 45 mm to clear speed bumps.

The quality of the interior can be seen by the Onyx Nubuck leather trim with orange accenting and carbon fiber interior parts all over.
