Audi R8 – PPI Razor GTR

German tuner PPI Automotive has unveiled their new Audi R8-based PPI Razor GTR at Top Marques Monaco 2009.

That maximum horsepower of 580hp comes from the engine at 7400 rpm, while torque maxes out at a level of 600 Nm, from 6200 rpm.  Weight of the PPI Razor GTR is 1580 kg, a full 250 kg lighter than the PPI R8, and 40 kg lighter than the Audi R8 V10.  These modifications get the car from standstill to 100 km/h (62 m/hr) in 3.7 seconds, and top speed of 332 km/h (206 m/hr).  All of these changes came from racing, wind tunnel development, road testing, and track testing.

The car features a custom supercharger, stainless steel high performance exhaust and ram-charged air filter system.  Company used carbon fiber to achieve weight reduction, including the new front bumper and diffuser.  Bigger air intakes can be seen at the front air dam, which also directs air to cool the brakes.  Custom side skirts, and rear adjustable wing complete the new look.

The wheels are PPI MAG9, Carbon Fiber aluminum wheels (19in front and 20 in rear), that are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires.  The brakes are six-piston calipers, which help to bring the car to a dead stop.  New coils have also been designed for this car, and PPI even installed a hydraulic lift system, which allows the car to be ether extremely low or to be raised by 45 mm to clear speed bumps.

The quality of the interior can be seen by the Onyx Nubuck leather trim with orange accenting and carbon fiber interior parts all over.
